Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit this Trimmus marketing website (the “Site”). It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the UK GDPR. This policy covers the marketing Site only — the Trimmus product/app is governed by a separate agreement and privacy notice.
1. Who we are (Controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Golden Scales Ventures LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, which operates the Trimmus brand (“Trimmus”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at the contact details below or via our company website, goldenscalesventures.com.
For privacy questions, and to exercise any of your rights under the GDPR, email bruno@trimmus.com.
2. Personal data we collect
| Data | When & why | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Work email address | When you submit the “early access” form, so we can reply to your request. | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you choose to submit it. |
| Aggregate analytics (page views, referrer, approximate country, device/browser type) | Only after you accept analytics in the consent banner, to measure traffic and improve the Site. | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). |
| Technical request data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) | Processed by our hosting/CDN provider to deliver the Site and protect it against abuse. | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security and delivery. |
| Consent preference | Stored in your browser’s local storage (key trimmus-consent) to remember your analytics choice. |
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — honoring your choice. Not used for tracking. |
We do not collect special categories of data, we do not run advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Umami) is cookieless and does not build profiles of individuals or follow you across other sites. The only data we keep in your browser is the consent preference described above, stored in local storage — not a cookie — and never sent to a server. If you decline analytics, no analytics script is loaded at all.
4. How we share data (Processors)
We share personal data only with service providers (processors) that process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed:
- Web3Forms — receives and delivers your early-access form submission (your email) to our inbox. See web3forms.com/privacy-policy.
- Umami — privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics (Umami Cloud). See umami.is/privacy.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for the Site. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. International data transfers
We are a US-based company, and the providers above process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where personal data of users in the EEA or UK is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards required under Chapter V of the GDPR — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — to ensure an adequate level of protection.
6. Data retention
We keep early-access emails only as long as needed to respond to your request and, if you become a customer, for the duration of that relationship, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Aggregate analytics contain no directly identifying data and are retained in summarized form. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
As a data subject, you have the right to (Arts. 15–22):
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”) where applicable;
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format or have it transferred;
- Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at bruno@trimmus.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (your national data protection authority in the EEA, or the ICO in the UK).
8. Withdrawing analytics consent
You can change your mind at any time. Clearing your browser’s site data for this Site removes the stored trimmus-consent preference; the consent banner will then appear again so you can accept or decline.
9. Children
This Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including transport encryption (HTTPS), a restrictive content security policy, and limiting access to personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
